The building is located on Via XV Settembre, facing the street. A few metres from the entrance, there is a car park reserved for vehicles with disabled badges.
Dogs and other animals on a leash are welcome in the Civic Museums of Palazzo Pianetti. Access to the collections and exhibition spaces is guaranteed without restrictions, even during events, exhibitions and workshops.
The building has three floors: the ground floor houses the Archaeological Museum of Jesi and the surrounding area; the first floor houses the Civic Art Gallery; and the second floor houses the Contemporary Art Gallery. The first and second floors are accessed via a monumental staircase. There is no lift. A mobile electric stair lift for wheelchairs (maximum width 76 cm, maximum load 130 kg) is available. Visitors who require the stair lift are advised to notify the museum staff a few days in advance. A wheelchair is also available free of charge at the museum ticket office.
On the first floor of Palazzo Pianetti, there is a baby pit stop equipped with a changing table, a breastfeeding corner, and books and colours to entertain younger siblings.

There are four tactile maps* in the building:
• a general map of the entire building located at the entrance to the building, just inside the entrance door on the left;
• a map of the ground floor, located to the left of the door leading to the archaeological museum (once through the central door, follow the left-hand wall until you find an opening, go up the wooden ramp and follow the left-hand wall until you find the map);
• a map of the first floor of the building, located in the Stucco Gallery (once you are on the first floor, go straight until you find a wall and follow it to the right; enter the door you will find on your left and ask the staff to accompany you where the map is);
• a map of the second floor, located opposite the entrance door, next to a wooden table.

Archaeological Museum of Jesi and the surrounding area
The ‘APRI Palazzo Pianetti’* app, available on the tablet provided on request when purchasing a ticket, includes an audio guide in Italian, a guide to the visit in Italian available for reading and one in Italian Sign Language. A guide in English is also available for reading, but there is no audio version of it.
The museum also has tactile reproductions of some of the exhibits, while others can be touched direcly in the original version.
Civic Art Gallery

A guide to the visit in English is also available for reading, but there is no audio version of it.
In the second Lotto Room, there is a bas-relief translation of Lorenzo Lotto's “Madonna delle Rose”**. This is a scaled volumetric reinterpretation of the painting that allows for tactile understanding of figures, volumes and details. At a special station set up in the first Lotto room, there are also two-dimensional tactile reproductions produced using PIAF technology of the other four works by Lorenzo Lotto in the collection (Deposition, Visitation, Announcing Angel and Annunciate Virgin, and Santa Lucia Altarpiece)**.
All five tactile reproductions are provided with guides for tactile exploration, available on site in Braille, print and large print.
Finally, at the tactile exploration station in the first Lotto room, a QR code is available that allows visitors to listen to an unpublished vocal and instrumental composition by Maestro Ilenia Stella, inspired by Lorenzo Lotto's Annunciation.
Contemporary Art Gallery
The 'Apri Palazzo Pianetti' app, available on the tablet provided on request when purchasing a ticket, includes an audio guide in Italian, a guide to the visit in Italian available for reading and one in Italian Sign Language. A guide in English is also available for reading, but there is no audio version of it. There is a tactile tour consisting of a selection of works that can be touched in their original version with the help of an audio exploration guide, which can be activated simply by placing the tablet provided on the tactile symbol next to the works that are part of the selection.

Lotus experience

The Venetian Renaissance master Lorenzo Lotto chose Le Marche as his second home, leaving his masterpieces in eight towns and villages across the region (Ancona, Cingoli, Jesi, Loreto, Mogliano, Monte San Giusto, Recanati and Urbino). The artist's works inspired the creation of Lotus Tea, a fine white tea mixed with the painter's favourite flowers (the blend was created by Fabiola Ruggiero – Cose di tè, Jesi).
The Lotus Experience allows visitors to discover Lotto's art in an engaging way: the artist reveals himself through the story of his works and the meanings hidden in the plants depicted.
By touching seeds and leaves, smelling their scents and finally enjoying a cup of Lotus Tea, the experience allows you to discover Lorenzo Lotto... in every sense!

In the rooms dedicated to Lorenzo Lotto's masterpieces, there is a desk where you can listen to an unpublished vocal and instrumental musical composition by Maestro Ilenia Stella inspired by Lorenzo Lotto's Annunciation.

Nel triennio 2022-2024, il Comune di Jesi ha partecipato come ente capofila al progetto “Marche for all”, realizzato con il contributo della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri – Ministro per le Disabilità e con il co-finanziamento della Regione Marche. Scopo del progetto era rendere accessibile l’opera lirica anche a spettatori con disabilità visiva e uditiva attraverso video introduttivi all’opera disponibili anche in Lingua Italiana dei Segni, sopratitolazione dal vivo del libretto e audiodescrizioni delle scene durante lo spettacolo e percorsi sensoriali alla scoperta dei costumi, delle scene e del dietro le quinte. A corredo del progetto sono stati sviluppati pacchetti turistici che hanno permesso ai melomani di scoprire anche il patrimonio artistico e architettonico di diverse città marchigiane, in un connubio ragionato tra arte e musica. Dopo la conclusione del progetto, la Fondazione Pergolesi-Spontini, che gestisce il teatro di tradizione della città di Jesi, ha deciso di continuare a rendere accessibili i principali titoli delle proprie stagioni liriche.
